Jazz Schools at the Guildhall London, Royal Academy of Music, Wavendon, Crest Jazz Vocal France, Bologna Jazz Vocal Italy. Vocal Tutors include world renowned vocalists Mark Murphy, Norma Winstone and Michele Hendricks.
Brennie formed her own quartet in the 1990's launching onto the London jazz circuit, performing at some of London’s top venues including the Jazz Café, Vortex, 606 Club, Union Chapel, South Bank and Barbican Centre Platforms and festivals including the Soho, Greenwich, Oxford and London Jazz Festivals. Also performing with 5 piece acappella vocal group ‘Skylarking’, recording an album with them in 1996. Brennie co-founded the Jazz Singers’ Network in London with fellow singers, promoting popular singers' gigs and jam sessions in many London venues including the 606 Club in Chelsea, China Jazz and the Jazz Bistro and facilitated workshops and masterclasses with high profile teachers for jazz vocalists. For several years Brennie was also part of the team at Jazz Services – a national organisation funded by the Arts Council supporting jazz in the UK.
Moving to the South East in 2000 Brennie performed throughout Kent and Sussex with her own quartet, recording an album with them in 2005 receiving great reviews.
Brennie is now based in the West Country and performs solo, with vocal group Vox Office and with the Bath based Vocal Works Gospel Choir. See the News page for updates.
